Job specifications include:
Conduct routine medical record reviews of the coding and diagnoses, medical procedures and patient encounters as documented by clinic patient care staff
Work closely with clinic coding and billing staff to assure compliance with coding guidelines
Monitor and communicate additions and/or revisions to coding documentation rules and regulations
Conduct educational opportunities for staff, including providers, on coding and billing rules and regulations
Monitor and report clinic compliance to coding and billing guidelines
Accessible to clinic staff to answer questions regarding billing, coding, and documentation
Perform additional duties as requested by administrative staff and QA Committee
Job requirements include:
Certified professional coder through the American Academy of Professional Coders
Minimum of 2 years, hands on experience, in a medical office setting
Thorough knowledge of CMS coding and documentation guidelines
Knowledge of third party physician service coding and billing practices

The ideal CEO candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; an MBA/MHA and CMPE/ACHE certification designation is preferred. The candidate will possess 10+ years of experience leading operations at an executive level, ideally in a multi-specialty group practice setting. The candidate should have a big picture perspective, being skilled at managing and integrating different business lines and functions. A leadership style that is team driven, open, accessible and able to foster trust between all parties is essential for success at Valley Medical Center.
